Kori K. Harrell
Co-Founder | Senior Advocate
Kori Harrell's passion for serving older adults began long before her professional career. Through her own family's aging and end-of-life journeys, she witnessed firsthand the challenges, emotions, and complex decisions that families often face when caring for loved ones. These experiences shaped her commitment to ensuring that seniors and their families never have to navigate those transitions alone.
A graduate of Oregon State University with a double major and exceptional academic achievement, Kori combines intelligence, compassion, and dedication in every aspect of her work. For more than two years, she has worked in elder and estate planning law and senior services, where she has developed extensive knowledge of senior advocacy, long-term care planning, legal processes, and healthcare systems. Her strong understanding of legal and medical terminology, paired with exceptional organizational and administrative skills, allows her to expertly coordinate the many details that help families find clarity during challenging times.
As a Co-Founder of Guiding Light Senior Advocates, Kori is passionate about educating families, empowering caregivers, and helping seniors access the resources and support they deserve. She has a special heart for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers, recognizing the unique challenges they face and the importance of compassionate, person-centered care.
Known for her infectious smile and joyful spirit, Kori brings grace, kindness, and genuine empathy to every interaction. She believes every senior deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, and she is deeply committed to serving vulnerable populations within our community. Her ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued is one of her greatest gifts and an essential part of Guiding Light's mission.
Kori lives in Currituck, North Carolina, with her husband and their two fur baby dogs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, baking homemade bread, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
